It’s the cafe that’s closest to Ocean Beach. There’s plenty of seating both inside and out. To close your laptop and walk across the street into the sand to look at the Pacific Ocean and be as far away from your work as possible is a pretty nice thing to be able to do. If you can’t find a spot inside, look for my yellow van by the beach. I have a 1973 VW Bus that I’ve equipped with power and a hotspot, and I often drive down to Ocean Beach and park and just open up my door and work from inside my Bus. So I have my own little coworking space, and there’s room for two more!
Literally across the street from the beach, this coffee shop offers your typical pastries, bagels, and coffee, but throws in a few beers on tap. Take a snack to the beach and relax.
- At the beach, 3 miles away - Owned by local Irish family - Delicious lattes - Does great Irish soda bread, tasty bagels - Get a coffee and roam the beach
Local popular breakfast / sandwich / coffee cafe. They serve some decent dishes and have good coffee. A good place to stop by on your way to the Ocean Beach!
A local and surfer favorite and a great location right at the terminus of the N Judah streetcar. It's a great place as a jumping off point to start your day.
“Jes' favorite local place to get waffles and eggs. Lines aren't uncommon weekend mornings. ”
“Opens past midnight! Good Korean food, love their Kimchi-fried rice. A great place to chill when you are hungry at midnight and can't sleep. What's special about this place is that it operates inside a converted garage! Great place to bring some friends for some soju and food!”
“Roast crab is the main reason people visit. Add some garlic noodles to round out your dinner experience. ”
“Classic California cuisine and fresh-baked bread on the weekends. Next door are a cute boutique and coffee shop if you find yourself on the waitlist. ”
