there is free parking here, not many beaches in chicago have that.. plus it has a dog beach, which is always hoppin. lots of grass to play nearby too... watch out for poop. REally cool bar nearby on beach, almost always has live music on thursdays.
20-25 minute bike or drive east to the beach. Biking is literally just as fast and it's summer, so go rent a Divvy!
