Excellent views of the Auckland Harbour, lots of restaurants and bars with great sea views for a great day out. Would recommend taking public transport/Uber here as parking can be hard to find/expensive.
Must do vibrant Auckland waterfront scene. Home of super yachts, cruise liners, eateries, Maritime museum. Ferry departures and arrivals.
With over 30 bars and restaurants to choose from in one waterfront destination, The Viaduct is a superb place to dine or relax and watch the world go by. Watch superyachts and admire boats as you stroll along the water's edge. Open from breakfast till late, the precinct has well located parking…
“Located smack dab in the middle of Auckland’s Central Business District is New Zealand’s tallest building. Standing 328m high, the Sky Tower is an icon of Auckland’s sky line and is the adrenaline hub of the city.”
“Auckland's Art Gallery is located in the city, a bus (25 mins) or uber (10 mins) away. Features permanent and rotating collections.”
“Our Opera House, but also concert venue. NZ Symphony Orchestra plays here regularly. Also musical shows occasionally.”
“The museum sits on the highest point of Auckland Domain in a vast Neoclassical building dating from 1929. Check out an impressive collection of artifacts that traces the history of New Zealand from its first Polynesian settlers to the present day and highlights the country’s natural heritage including a Maori hall showing a wealth of Maori artistry. Then enjoy a leisurely walk in surrounding botanical gardens, get a coffee or feed the ducks. Official site: www.aucklandmuseum.com”
