So much history here; walk on the riverfront, ride the trolley ( if it's running), visit the shops and galleries downtown, and get a bite to eat.

2 hour drive. One of our favorite places in the Northwest. The town watches over the mouth of the Columbia River to the Pacific Ocean and the bustling freight ships that come in and out of port under the 4 mile long bridge connecting OR and WA. Awesome breweries and vibrant local art scene make a great day trip or long weekend. Quick access to the coast.

Astoria sits on the edge of the ocean and the Columbia River. With lots of quaint restaurants and gorgeous views, Astoria is a must-see!

Astoria is located at the mouth of the Columbia River. Watch the large ships come in from the Pacific. Check out the Astoria Column and climb up the spiral staircase. Astoria is worth a visit and a way through town and along the River Esplanade. There're some nice antique stores and museums.

HEY YOU GUYS!!!! ---- that is my 1980's Goonies movie reference - Astoria is the setting for this movie... from here there is tons to see and do - go north, you can drive your SUV on miles of beach, head south and see all the Oregon coast has to offer.
