6BC Botanical Garden
Out of all the community gardens in the East Village, this is my favorite. It's coiffed and pruned and boasts and adorable little treehouse with a lounge and plenty of reading material. The latest addition: a big bullfrog in the fish pond.
This is the most planned and beautiful of many community gardens in the area. Open to the public on the weekends. Has a couple little ponds, picnic tables, and best of all, a little treehouse that holds a sweet library.
This is a community garden that feels like a secret hideaway in the middle of the city. Look for the treehouse. If you're hungry, get a Pho sandwich at the convenience store on the corner.
Check out the adorable tree house, wander through the manicured flower arches or hang out on a stone bench and eat your lunch in a whimsical setting.
Compact botanical garden with hundreds of plants & flowers plus a small pond & treehouse
“If it's nice out, sit on the benches out front, and check out one of the East Village's many gardens across the street. Fingers crossed that the sun's shining for ya. ”
“Have only gotten delivery, but this used to be my regular delivery spot. Try the Taro smoothie!”
“ Organic coffee, chocolate truffles & vegan cakes served in a snug space with whimsical decor.”
“For the amazing crepes and salads for a healthy diner. The service is awesome and staff really kind”
