Worth a visit! The main tower is in good conditions and you can have a nice view of the bay and a glimpse of what the Spanish colonization look like.

教堂
“Recognized as one of the oldest churches in the Americas, Catedral Primada de las Americas is Santo Domingo’s most famous religious structure. Tucked into the old-world streets of the city’s Colonial Zone, Santa Maria was built in the early 1500s and remains an icon of the country’s Catholic community. Its classic Gothic and Baroque features are a nod to the church’s European roots and an extensive collection of woodcarvings and religious artifacts make a visit well worth the trip. ”

“It’s a nice gathering between locals and travelers that bond with dancing, drinks and street food. Dominican Music played by a live band, merengue, bachata and salsa!! If you want to show off your dancing skills or learn a few moves, this is the place for you, or even if you want to enjoy a great cultural exchange while enjoying the music. ”

Point of Interest
“The Museo de las Casas Reales (English: Museum of the Royal Houses) is one of the important cultural monuments built during the colonial era in Hispaniola, now the Dominican Republic. It is located in the Colonial district of Santo Domingo. It was the Palace of the Viceroy of Santo Domingo and it is the first (oldest) headquarters of Spanish power in the New World. The building dates back to the sixteenth century, and was built to house the administrative offices of the Spanish colonies in the Americas, at the time any trespassers would be sentenced to death. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site called Colonial City of Santo Domingo.”

Museum
“Designed to entertain and educate children and their families, the Museo Infantil Trampolín is marked by a large, beautifully kept central courtyard adjacent to its entrance. Indoors, nine rooms showcase major educational themes ranging from the Planet Earth and ecology, to human beings, weather systems, and various aspects of Dominican culture. Kids love the Paleomundo room, filled with figures of dinosaurs and other period animals. There are monthly educational activities for children, from kitchen workshops to arts and crafts.”
