"Located in the beautiful War Eagle Valley, the War Eagle Mill offers a historical perspective to life in the Ozarks. Visit the Mill and the historic bridge on the river, learn about the history of the region, shop for organic and locally made foods and local crafts. Top your visit with a meal at the Bean Palace cafe."

War Eagle Mill was establish in 1832 and is the last working grist mill in Arkansas and is believed to be the last undershot mill in the country. A grist mill grinds cereal grain into flour and “meals”. An undershot water wheel is powered by the water running under the wheel (not over). Such mills are documented as far back as the 1st century BC. It is open March through October and offers organic products and also features a restaurant. In October they host an incredible craft fair. Over 250 vendors gather around the Mill, and across the river to present their art to 125,000 visitors. Professional craft men and women offer original, handmade work such as country decorative items, folk art, watercolor and oil painting, pottery, stoneware, wreaths, potpourris, dried arrangements, quilts, miniatures, country clothing, wearable art, candles, homemade soaps, country furnishings, jewelry, bird houses and feeders, collectibles, edibles and much more.

Historical site with an 18 foot undershot water wheel that rotates to grind grain into flour. War Eagle Mill produces nutritious, organic, and non-gmo flour every day.

Water-wheel mill still working and grinding up grains for sale in their store! It's historic and a lovely drive, a great place to pick up souvenirs for friends: locally made jams and jellys, bread mixes and other grains made on-site. There's a little restaurant upstairs with fantastic bean soup.
