Graffiti Park at Castle Hill
Located near the corner of Baylor and 12th Street, Graffiti Park is a massive, abandoned site covered with artwork and words of all colors and textures. If you’re lucky, you’ll find artists at work, or grab a can of spray paint and have your kids join in.
Staple of Austin. A spot allocated for the city for artist and the like to go and graffiti their hearts out. Fun spot to take pictures and visit. Would highly recommend if you're a tourist.
awesome experience, it's going to be relocated soon, so you should go before then!
“The pink-granite building is the centerpiece of downtown Austin, perched on a hill at 12th Street and Congress Avenue. Free guided tours are held daily, starting in the South Foyer, but brochures are also available on the first floor for self-guided tours. The Texas Legislature meets every two years, so you’ll have to check the schedule if you want to see an actual session in progress.”
“The supplemmetn street to 6th St. Its a newer area with bars next to each other. most having live music and all in a 2 block area. Also worth going there at night”
“If it is hot in Austin while you are here, you must go for a swim atBarton Springs!”
“Cow Tipping Creamery House made soft serve ice cream! Always vanilla, always chocolate, and always at least one rotating special flavor of ice cream each week. Pick your ice cream & pick your toppings, or choose from the carefully designed desserts, always made-to-order.”
Outdoor Event Space
“Zilker Park is where ACL happens, where a great Zilker Christmas Light Show is, where the Stevie Ray Vaughn bronze is. Close enough to Casa Willow and Holly Neighborhood. Google what is happening at Zilker when you come.”
