The Sonoran Desert museum is a top sightseeing place where you will get to see all types of local wildlife and learn more about the Sonoran Desert. There are often seasonal events taking place and there is food and drink for purchase.

World-renowned, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a 98-acre zoo, aquarium, botanical garden, natural history museum, publisher, and art gallery founded in 1952. Located just west of Tucson, Arizona, it features two miles of walking paths traversing 21 acres of desert landscape. A must see!

Plan to spend a day here. It's a wonderful introduction to our Sonoran Desert with many of the exhibits situated outside. Their focus is education and conservation. Always a joy to spend time here.

If youre new to the desert, then this is an incredible place to visit and get acquainted. Very informative, beautiful, entertaining and rewarding. From an artificial cave exhibit to a large cat enclosure, to an aviary, it covers a lot of ground, and totally dedicated to the sonoran desert. Drive…

An absolute must for out of towners. Voted as one the top 10 museums in the country, this is an outdoor sampling of all the desert plants and animals that make this place special. Just up the road!
