If you need to take the young one somewhere close without having to jump on buses and trains for a play on some swings or even just yourself for a bit of nature, Myers park is a good option.

Take a stroll along the vibrant shops of Krd (Karangahape rd) through the icon St Kevins arcade, decent the steps through the heart of the arcade and you will find yourself at the top of a beautiful park looking over the tops of huge palm trees, welcome to Myers park! This is a great park to take a stroll through to get into the city. A wonderful kids playground is located half way down. Please note this is not a safe park to be in at night.

Pretty through route from Queen St to St Kevins Arcade (upholl walk) and Karangahape Rd (K Rd). Great views of the Skytower at the K Rd end.
