“Beautiful house and gardens restored to full glory by HRH Prince of Wales. Lovely tearoom, garden and grounds. One of finest collections of Chippendale furniture in the world. 30 minute drive. ”
“Troon Lido (another in Prestwick). CURRENTLY DOING AMAZING TAKE OUT! Lovely atmosphere. Good range of food, the tapas was excellent (large portions too). The children's menu is also extensive, including a "build your own pizza" option - after which you may be invited into the kitchen to see it slide into the pizza oven!”
“Great for local history (including Robert Burns and Johnnie Walker) as well as a contemporary art gallery and changing exhibitions. Lovely building too!”
“Great views over marina and Arran. Great choice for coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Amazing cocktails 🍸”
“Restaurant (with takeaway option next door) in an unlikely place at the edge of the harbour. Tasty seafood, reasonable prices. If you're lucky, you can watch some seals play in the harbour.”
