The Barnacle Historic State Park
The Barnacle Historic State Park is a 5-acre Florida State Park in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida at 3485 Main Highway. Built in 1891, it is the oldest house in its original location in Miami-Dade County.
Take a stroll down the shady entrance and visit this historic home. Tours available too.
It's technically free, but they ask for a small donation at the end of the path. I believe it's 2 or 3 dollars. It's a short but cute path in the lovely Coconut Grove. I usually grab a Cold Brew at Panther Coffee and then head over to the park.
The oldest house in Miami-Dade County. Located in the heart of downtown Coconut Grove.
“Public urban park on the shore of Biscayne Park. Amenities include a baseball field, tennis court, basketball court, playground and skate park. ”
“If your looking for a cool local bar with good beer, burgers, and more, I like Lokal. I'm actually vegetarian but there are some dishes I love there, and the local beers, and the atmosphere is fun and edgy. ”
