“ Benton Harbor. Nicely renovated beach nestled on the lake edge of the gorgeous Harbor Shores Golf Club. ”
“Best pizza around. It can become quite busy so I suggest making an online reservation. The Whirlpool Wonder is a great pizza, but you can't go wrong.”
“One of our favorite wineries. Great wine, great people. For nearly a century, West Michigan has been the home of some of the most productive and picturesque fruit farms in the Midwest. Lake Michigan's "lake effect" has sheltered the fruit of our region from the harshness of winter - blanketing the fruit vines with snow and providing slightly warmer temperatures. 12 Corners Vineyards was started by a small group of friends who grew up in Michigan and recognized the uniqueness of a site just four miles off Michigan's famed "Gold Coast." The hamlet of Twelve Corners, Michigan is our namesake. They have an 115 acre estate planted with both vinifera and hybrid grapes. The vineyards are planted on soils of varying textures and slopes, bringing a distinct and pronounced terroir to the wines they proudly serve.”
“For only a few dollars, you can spend the whole day walking their extensive nature trails. Lots of outdoor wildlife, but they also have in house snakes, turtles and other critters to check out.”
“The Curious Kids' Museum voted the "Best Museum" and "Best Place To Take Kids" in SW Michigan. The Curious Kids' Museum encourages discovery, wonder and awe for children. This interactive, hands-on playground for the mind fulfills its educational leadership role by stimulating curiosity, awareness and life preparedness in the areas of science and technology, history and culture.”
