Dequindre Cut Greenway
It’s an old rail line that was dug out and repaved, so it’s a really cool glimpse of what Detroit used to look like. They’ve left a lot of old graffiti from the 90s down here, plus they added new street art and put in an amphitheater. The Cut connects Eastern Market to the riverfront, which is a gateway to even more spots. Cruise down the Greenway all the way to the waterfront and make a pitstop at Atwater Brewery to chill out with an IPA.
This is great for a long walk, run or bike ride. Highly recommend taking a bike down the riverwalk to this. Then you can end up in Eastern Market
Walking/running/bike path with street art that cuts along Eastern Market to the River Walk downtown.
This is a 2-mile long recreational path that used to be park of the Grand Trunk railroad line. The path beginning/end is very close the the Detroit Riverwalk and Eastern Market. We love to bike along the Dequindre Cut and admire the urban artwork along the path. There are also benches along the way…
A pedestrian/biking trail that runs from the Riverwalk to Eastern Market. Some great street art is featured along this greenway.
