Statesman Bat Observation Center
Watch the Bats come out and fly across the Austin skyline at dusk, as they head out to feed each night.
Best place to see the 1 million bats that fly from underneath South Congress Bridge every evening at dusk.
March through November. Get there before sunset. Will emerge at dusk. Looks like black cloud in the sky.
Wanna be a "batboy" or "batgirl" you can go to Congress or here to see if you catch the million plus bats who go out to do their eco system duty and eat the bugs. It's an Austin thing. Fun just to hang out on the Congress bridge waiting for them too.
Go out at dusk to see the bats! Seasonal because they do migrate. Best late spring and summer.
