Burial Beer meticulously crafts ales and lagers from its industrial space in downtown Asheville.
Also one of the most creative breweries that started from the most humble beginnings. I haven't checked out the new in-house food, but this place is at the top of my list for good beer!
Don't let Burial Beer's slightly morbid namesake and decor (that is reminiscent of Halloween night) scare you away from enjoying their amazing beer. Burial is conveniently located in the South Slope of Asheville and set up in an industrial setting complete with scythes, sickles, caskets and plenty…
Unique, distinctly Asheville original. A great start to a SouthSlope experience!
Very interesting brews, great saisons and sours. Worth the trip to south slope neighborhood.
“Located in the South Slope of Asheville, the Funkatorium is the East Coast’s first sour beer dedicated taproom. Featuring over a dozen varieties of these styles on draught, visitors can expect a full immersion into the old world way of experiencing and appreciating beer along with a creative food menu including Roman-style pizza. Head to our outdoor Biergarten to sip on sours and Rosé on draught, open seasonally.”
“If you enter downtown Asheville via Charlotte Street, you will be greeted by Green Man Brewery's "GreenMansion," a 3-story 20,000 square foot packaging hall, retail shop and top floor tasting room with views of the mountains. Green Man was established in 1997, and is known as one of the original craft breweries in Asheville along with Highland Brewing. You can visit Green man's original location (known as "Dirty Jack's") on Buxton Ave, just a quick walk from the GreenMansion. This is also the location where Green Man beer is brewed.”
“Local hangout and brewery come during the day and explore the local art after having a nice brew”
“One of Dennis’s favorites. Really diverse beers, BigAss fan (yes, that’s what it’s called) and games inside. Small hidden, quiet outside area if you want to get away from all the crowds. ”
