Sydenham Hill Wood
This is a great wood connecting Sydenham with Dulwich, where you can continue your run if you like. If not, make sure you have waterproof shoes on as the paths can stay muddy after rainy days (Distance: 2.4km uphill and a great downhill on your way back)
A wood built on the old gardens of the rich large estate houses that once stood here. You might come across ruins of old follies and ponds.
“Small but has the most essential bits and pieces you will need. Only a 5 min walk from the flat so pop in to stock up on breakfast foods, light meals and snacks.”
“This little cafe does the best bacon sandwich I've had in London. Good for breakfast and lunch. Awesome coffee. ”
“Gets very busy for drinks with a small beer garden but never fails to disappoint on the Gastropub food front! 15 minute stroll or short bus ride away.”
“A must visit for all craft, textile and haberdashery lovers! A perfect spot for finding a handcrafted gift, as well.”
