Melbourne's home of Italian restaurants. my favourites are D.O.C for authentic Italian (D.O.C espresso for pasta on Lygon St, or the original for pizza around the corner on Faraday St), Agostino for a fancy meal, Tiamo for old school Italian or Johnnys Green Room for bar snacks with an amazing city view

Known as the "little Italy" of Melbourne - Lygon St, Carlton is a 30min walk or quick Uber ride. It boasts traditional Italian cuisine, Cinema Nova, cute cafes, excellent gelato and some bars. There are parks near there and a Piazza to hang out in.

Lygon Street has a very strong Italian influence and is famous for authentic Italian restaurants and cafe’s. Located in the suburb of Carlton, it is only minutes away from the city centre and is easy to access on the public transport system.
