Short relaxing hike, approximately a 1.3-mile walk. It's a beautiful drive to the trailhead.

Easy 2.4-mile round trip hike to beautiful falls. A nice day of hiking could start with a morning hike to Laurel Falls (to beat the crowds), a driving stop by the Sinks, a picnic lunch either at the Sinks or Metcalf Bottoms picnic area, and finally the Metcalf Bottoms hike to the schoolhouse (and possibly on to the old Walker Sisters' home if you still have the energy!).

The roundtrip distance to the waterfall is 2.6 miles and the hike is considered moderate in difficulty. It takes about 2 hours to hike to the waterfall and back.
