Everytime I'm in this street in Amsterdam East a new shop or cafe has open his doors. Very upcoming and multicultural! Nice to have a look when you are going to visit Brouwerij 't IJ and the Tropenmuseum.

There is a lot to see and do in Amsterdam, all depending on your taste. If we were in the neighborhood, you could run into us and other locals at the Javastraat in the Indische Buurt neighborhood (15 min walk). Point of Interest
“Amsterdam has a defense line. We call it ‘Stelling van Amsterdam’. This line is a 135 km long circular defense at 15-20 km around the capital Amsterdam which was constructed by the Ministry of War mostly between about 1881 and 1914. In Weesp you can find one of the forts of this defense line. The fort is still in tact and this days used for music lessons and creative workshops. If you are lucky the door is open and you can have a look inside. ”
