Killiney Hill Park
A memorable mountain experience, I love this place for its panoramic view of mountains, islands, sea and city. Park on the Vico Road and descend the steps over the railway line to the microclimate of White Rock Beach, Killiney Hill rises steeply behind cutting off the wind. Go back up and across…
Killiney Hill Park is above Killiney Beach. You can get the Dart there, or drive (c 10 minutes). A lovely place to walk, with stunning views. There's a little café in the park. Killiney Beach is nice as well.
“Over twenty five years, up to 1000 workers each year laboured in extremely difficult conditions to build the magnificent granite harbour. The East Pier is one mile long and the West Pier even longer.”
“Not feeling like going all the way onto the city? Well look no further then Dalkey village, it is only 4 stops away on the DART (train) and is an ancient Irish town founded in viking times with excellent nightlife. And Queens is a fantastic bar that I would definitely recommend!”
“Brady's is the local pub in Shankill. Big and friendly with lots of tellies, good pints, and tasty food. Lots of free parking, and they'll be happy to call you a taxi if you like.”
