Parkway Bakery & Tavern is a New Orleans restaurant and family dining tradition located in Mid-City
Established since 1911. Serves the best poor boys in Louisiana. Visit Parkway to experience local hospitality in NOLA. Even if the lines are long, they move pretty fast & the wait is worth it!
Local favorite located in Mid-City, the best place to get a po-boy in New Orleans.
Get the shrimp poboy dressed plus a bottle of root beer! You will thank us later.
This is my favorite place to get a Roast Beef Poboy. They serve Barq's root beer in a bottle and have great bread pudding. It is a one stop shop to hit a lot of New Orleans classics.
10 minute walk away. It is a lovely stroll down toward the Bayou along the Lafitte Greenway or Saint Ann. This is THE place to get a Poboy. I get the French Fry Poboy with gravy and fully dressed. Yum!
Family owned restaurant and bar. Parkway was founded in 1911 and continues the 100 year tradition of serving comfort food and drink which includes over 25 poor boys.
“Check out this outdoor patio atmosphere all year round to socialize or catch sporting events on television . They have a . wide selection of beer, wine, spirits, food and seafood (crawfish seasonal). They offer a patio heat in the winter.”
““New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), the city’s oldest fine arts institution, opened on December 16, 1911 with only nine works of art. Today, the museum hosts an impressive permanent collection of more than 40,000 objects. The collection, noted for its extraordinary strengths in French and American art, photography, glass, and African and Japanese works, continues to expand and grow, making NOMA one of the top art museums in the South.” -NOMA.org *While you are here, you can’t forget to visit the Besthoff Sculpture Garden.”
“Whether you rent paddle boats or bikes, there are countless ways to explore the city’s BEST park. We promise, you will love it! Plus, you can visit the Children’s Museum or New Orleans Museum of Art right in the park! Not to mention—sculpture gardens! ”
“The BEST cannoli you will ever eat. Ever... Historic, Sicilian establishment and New Orleans staple since 1905. You will absolutely miss out if you pass this one by. Gelato, pastries, biscotti, espresso, and other Sicilian treats. ”
“If you are at the restaurant when it opens at 5:30, you are guaranteed a seat. Paella, fideua, or any dish on this menu is hard to beat. I have almost eaten my way through the menu and eager to do so again. We always make it a point to have a meal here. The food is the freshest in the city. ”
