“This is a great place to go tubing if you are with people who don't ski or are sick of skiing. It is an old ski resort they turned into a tubing hill so it has multiple lifts and slopes. It is a fun time all around. ”
“This pizza really is good and they do have a good selection too. But the real highlight is the location across from the sledding hill and right in the town center. Plus.... there craft local beer selection is huge! And they have a full service bar too. Add to that list a huge arcade for kids when it’s super cold and they need to warm up, plus and ice cream and dessert bar. You could easily spend 2 hours here with the kids after playing in the snow OR after skiing with friends having a few pints. Lastly, they do outdoor movies in the warmer months and have put put too. ( the put put is a little shabby, but whatever entertains the kids, right?)”
“Great for any apres ski or day of adventure place to grab some great food and drinks. A very lodgey atmosphere, laid back feel. My favorite is the local pecan crusted trout, ask for lite on the pecans.”
“Appalachian Ski Mountain is a ski area in one of three ski mountains in Watauga County in western North Carolina between Boone and Blowing Rock. There are 11 slopes, three terrain parks, and five lifts with two quads and one double chair. There is also a conveyor belt that takes ski novices to the top of the terrain as well as a large outdoor ice arena, meaning that there is something for every family member, regardless of their ski experience. The season in Appalachian Ski Mountain lasts from mid-November to late March, and there is also night skiing every night, making it the only ski area in the Southeast with late-night skiing.”
