Iconic commercial building in the City of London. Nice cafes and restaurants at and around ground level.
Excellent views it is free to enter but you can book a table. Fabulous view at night over London sky line.
For me this area of London is perfect to know the most important business center in the world, know its architecture that is spectacular and each one more different.
This building was completed in 2004 for Swiss RE. The second largest insurance company in The World. It is now one of the icons of the London skyline. It is not the tallest building, but its 41 floors has captured the imagination of the public
“The amazing Lloyds Building, designed by Richard Rogers. All the lifts, stairs and pipes are on the outside to save space. The inside of the building is equally amazing! ”
“Leadenhall Market is a visually impressive Victorian Market dating from 1881. The market stands on the site of a Roman Basilica. The original market was burnt down in The Fire of London, after which it was expanded to sell poultry, dairy goods, leather, wool and meat. Nowadays it contains a variety of specialist shops and bars.”
“Modern chain bar serving beer, cocktails, wine and sharing plates to an after-work crowd.”
“Marks & Spencer is known for its quality produce and is conveniently located in Waterloo station; it is a chain brand, which usually functions as an entire department store with clothes and gifts, but this particular outlet is for food and drink, only.”
