“The Kalverstraat is a busy shopping street of Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. The street runs roughly North-South for about 750 meters, from Dam Square to Muntplein square. The Amsterdam Museum is located in a former orphanage between Kalverstraat and Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. The Kalverstraat is the most expensive shopping street in the Netherlands, with rents of up to 3000 euros per square meter (2016).[1] In 2009 it was the 17th most expensive street in the world measured by rent prices.[2] The Kalverstraat is also the most expensive street in the Dutch version of Monopoly.”

“In 1996 the Vondelpark, as one of the first city parks, obtained the status of a national monument. This status is in line with the cultural-historical value that the park represents. This makes the Vondelpark one of the crown jewels of Amsterdam. An average of 10 million people visit the park every year. That is approximately 21 visitors per square meter. In comparison, Central Park in New York receives approximately 5 visitors per square meter every year!”

“The Anne Frank House is a museum with a story. As a visitor, you will experience this story through quotes, photos, videos and original objects. The atmosphere in the museum is authentic and modest. Voorhuis en Achterhuis On 6 July 1942, the Frank family went into hiding in the building at Prinsengracht 263. This is Otto Frank's business premises. Later, the Van Pels and Fritz Pfeffer family join them. Otto's business premises consist of two parts. A front house and a back house. The eight people in hiding reside on the top floors of the Secret Annex. When Otto Frank was the only person in hiding to return from Auschwitz in June 1945, the Secret Annex was empty and bare. From the moment the Anne Frank House opened its doors as a museum in 1960, the Secret Annex remained empty at the request of Otto Frank.”
