The Mexic-Arte Museum houses an evolving collection of traditional and contemporary Mexican, Latino and Latin American art and culture in downtown Austin. Explore the galleries and be sure to check out the exterior mural along Fifth Street.

Small. There are free days on Sundays. Decent collection and curation of Mexican and Mexicanan-american art, and nice gift shop.

A jewel in Austin. Last visited for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) alters a few years ago. Their Mission is to enrich & educate through the presentation of traditional & contemporary art.
