We are farm to fork and back to scratch. We make the mayo, the mustard, the pickles, the relish, the sauerkraut, the bacon, the buns, the hot dogs, and even the beer.
If you’re craving a burger, this is a popular counter service option that will not disappoint. Burgers -veggie and otherwise-, beer, dogs, and good company. If you don’t feel like trekking downtown, our local-er favorite is Town Hall Burgers over near Southpoint, about 5 minutes away.
This is a brewery/restaurant BUT it is one that has a "kids corner." This is a small area with a play kitchen, some toys, books, puzzles and coloring table crammed in a corner. It makes it so easy to take a 2 year old out to eat with you though!
“Casual bar in the same building as the brewery itself (you can tour during the daytime). Fullsteam often hosts trivia nights and community events and serves small plates, too. Recommended: A wide selection of arcade and board games.”
“Both a hotel and art museum, this place was a bank and still has the original Vault downstairs. Take the elevator up to the quirky museum with the most modern and avant garde exhibitions. Book a spa appointment and then a dinner reservation in the Counting House restaurant!”
“Don't Lollygag on getting tickets - this is one of the original things Durham's known for.”
“Durham is full of pizza joints but this one's top notch, seasonal, and wood fired.”
“There are three locations of this creative coffee shop and roastery in Durham, but the closest is straight down Geer St. Try one of their creative drinks, including a wide selection of hot chocolates. This is a lovely place to sit and take in the Durham scene. After your coffee, you can stroll around the neighborhood and visit Fullsteam Brewery, browse local goods at The Mothership, or walk to the Durham Farmers’ Market. Pro-Tip: arrive early on Saturday to beat the line. Recommended: The Dr. Durham Latte, or check out the Lakewood location for made-to-order churros!”
