Right on the west side of the Grand River on the west side of GR. Fairly easy walk downhill from our Airbnb. The museum has 3 floors of history in an ex-flour mill plus exhibits, a 1928 working carousel & planetarium.
Travelling exhibits, as well as permanent ones that take you back to Egypt, the carousel, and stand under the skelaton of a whale
The Grand Rapids Public Museum rises three stories above the downtown riverfront. Inside, a fascinating panorama of permanent collections and temporary exhibits preserve the treasures of the past and the present. Great spot for kids but interesting enough for adults too.
