‘Depot’ is a frantic and fast paced eatery, serving unpretentious food on plates to share. There’s a raw bar, where oysters and fresh shellfish will be shucked to order. The main kitchen (open) will feature a large charcoal grill and a hard wood oven. The food is fresh and all about sharing.
The food was absolutely amazing and such a good astrosphere to have dinner in(normally closed in midnight)
Known for its incredibly seafood menu. In the heart of the city by Sky City. This place is fun and casual... no bookings.
Dine at Depot, underneath Auckland's iconic landmark the Sky Tower. Depot is casual but upmarket dining from NZ celebrity chef, Al Brown. You can also combine this with a trip to the top of the Sky Tower for stunning views.
Oyster is a must. Remember to book a reservation in advanced or you might wait for a long time.
“NZ chef Al Brown’s take on an old-school NYC Jewish delicatessen. Very delicious and reasonably priced with sumptuous selection of desserts. Choose any 3 great desserts for only $20 such as banoffee pie, NY cheesecake & lemon meringue pie. What’s not to love!”
“Pro tip - Go here for happy hour drinks. You have to call them and book a table at the bar bit you’ll get stunning views from the top of the sky tower whilst you sip your favourite tipple. You also get to watch all the brave (and some not so brave) souls walking around the outside edge of the Sky Tower or jumping off. People watching at its absolute best. ”
“Auckland's Art Gallery is located in the city, a bus (25 mins) or uber (10 mins) away. Features permanent and rotating collections.”
“Landmark in the city with the casino, many restaurants, and also the Orbit restaurant at the top of the sky tower. very touristy but recommended for a quick visit.”
“Nice View. The new menu has some fantastic and highly creative cuisine options that will leave you wanting more. Aka the Crayfish toasted sandwich, tasting oysters, chicken parfait are simply superb. Will go back again just to hit these dishes again, so good. Thank you.”
