A fun walk down the hill about 15 minutes to Lassiter Mill Falls Park for great sight seeing at the waterfalls! Bring your walking shoes and a cool beverage. Fun for a scenic stroll or a picnic on a nice day. Local fishermen say they catch big catfish right around the base of the falls! Also check out the historic mill stone that was actually used to grind the grist at the mill. There are trails on the opposite side of the street that connect this park to the rest of Raleigh’s beautiful greenways for longer walks, biking, and more exploring. Tip: make sure to pace yourself! Coming down the hill is easier than going back up!!

Cute waterfall with sand and stone surrounding. Ideal for a picnic, and also is a trail head for a "greenway" which are local paved running/biking paths.

Remnants of an old mill with a waterfall. Small beach for a picnic lunch-adjacent to Raleigh's Greenway-a city long paved trail for walking or cycling. Peaceful.
