Pendower beach is truly spectacular with the river running down the beach. You have magnificent rockpools, pebbles and sand. It's stunning and dog friendly.
Beautiful beach and closest from the cottage. When the tide is out you can walk the length of the beach and across Nare beach which is connected. If you wish you can have a coffee or meal in the Nare Hotel which overlooks the beach
Pendower beach is less that 10 minutes drive from the hut. Go back on the main road past the Portscatho turning. Before you get to Ruan High Lanes there is a turning on the right for the beach. There is free parking. The beach is quite large and is popular with us locals for walking on a Sunday…
“Great coffee with amazing view of Gerrans Bay, sit looking out to sea, beautiful *Taverna next door Wed-Sat 5.30pm to 9pm serving pizzas, eat in or take away”
“Head across to the Roseland Peninsula for great cycling & walking. Take the King Harry Ferry then park in the National Trust car park for Towan Beach, which is one of my favourites with soft gently shelving sand and plenty of room, even in high summer. Look for the Thirstea vintage tea truck parked up near the beach, and if The Hidden Hut is open too, the food is so worth a detour for.”
“Bread and other excellent baked goods. Order ahead and deliver to the door.”
“It's a magnificent beach for everyone to enjoy. Cliffs, sand dunes, sea water swimming pool, rock pools, fabulous sunsets, lifeguards, safe stream for the little ones, toilets, ice cream parlours etc”
