Big Stacy Neighborhood Park
A block west is a walking trail that goes along the green belt. Great for a run or stroll with coffee. There’s tennis courts, basketball, volleyball, a large playground, wading kids pool (in the summer) and a year round swimming pool on the south end.
Big Stacy is a "little Central Park," with a free 25-meter community pool and a great walking trail. Pick a spot for an afternoon picnic next to Blunn Creek
Super great walking trail that leads to a great little park with a neighborhood swimming pool.
“A few blocks south on alameda is a great neighborhood pool, with lap lanes and free swim. There is a small grassy area to lounge on towels. It is also heated in the winter! ”
“One of Austin's favorite homegrown restaurants, Lucy's Fried Chicken is helmed by local chef James Holmes. The offerings include fresh gulf oysters, and yummy fried chicken. 7 days a week - lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.”
“It's an Austin institution where you can go just to check out hundreds of pair of boots -- just for entertainment. You are in Austin, Texas, so you have to stop in Allens Boots.”
“Men, I will warn you. Your girlfriend, wife, or significant other can spend hours (and hundreds of dollars!) in this hip, women's boutique called Maya Star! To be honest, I also like going in there. Their merchandise is incredible, and includes everything from home decor and accessories to jewelry and fine clothing and shoes. Women simply love this store, and for good reason. The good news is that not everything in the store is hard on the pocketbook, as they always have a sale and also sell many items that fall in the middle-of-the-road as far as prices go.”
