Walking along St. Catherine’s Passage, one can envision what it was like to be a Baltic craftsman 500 years ago. The workshops of St. Catherine’s Guild line the romantic walkway, where artisans produce and sell handmade goods. To put Tallinn’s medieval sights into context, visit the Estonian History Museum’s Great Guild Hall. Here, travel through prehistoric times all the way to the end of the 20th century. The lofty hall itself dates back to the 15th century, from which German merchants chaired the Town Council.

"Most beautiful street in Old Town. There are artisan shops on the whole street. Don't hestate to pop by and find a perfect gift to take with you"

One of the nicest places in old town. The restaurant Controvento on this street is also great!

Easily the most picturesque of Old Town's lanes, this half-hidden walkway runs behind what used to be St. Catherine's Church. A number of handicraft workshops can be found here, in which you can watch the artists at work – creating ceramics, hats, glass and more.

Easily the most picturesque of Old Town's lanes, this half-hidden walkway runs behind what used to be St. Catherine's Church. It connects Vene street with the Müürivahe street where the town's famous knit market operates.
