This is a very nice walk without having to leave Sooke. The scenery is outstanding and you might get lucky and see some sea lions playing around in the water or even a pod of whales in the distance. The walk itself is about 40 minutes. I recommend running shoes as the footing is sometimes uneven…
It's a lovely walk - especially with your dog! The spit has views of the harbour and out to the ocean, with views to the Olympic Mountains and the States!
Lovely walk on a peninsula with beautiful ocean views where you can hear the crashing waves, see the otters and sealions. Lots of benches along the route for reading a book or just enjoying the view
A pleasant walk with great views of Sooke Harbour, East Sooke shorelines, spotting seals, and the odd whale. always a good spot to meet locals and their dogs.
“A british-style pub that predates the automobile! Nice ambiance, outside dining, lawn games, pool table. Great burgers, salads, curry dishes.”
“Moms cafe is like the classic mom and paps diner. It’s been around for quite some time. If you’re looking for a “ classic” breakfast this is the place. ”
“Little Vienna is an authentically European bakery café in the heart of Sooke, that provides beautiful hand-formed artisan breads, buns and baguettes, as well as lovingly prepared decadent pastries, pies and cakes.....with a strong consciousness towards "fresh-from-scratch" using the finest ingredients; non-gmo, locally sourced and organic. It's simply good food.”
“Very accessible park. Great for everyone. Close to the suite. Lots of people crab trap here. Its fun to watch- or get your license and leave a trap in for the day. ”
