One of four bridges crossing the Tennessee River downtown Chattanooga to the North Shore neighborhood. Built in the 1800's, it was closed in 1978 and reopened as a pedestrian bridge in 1993. A public memorial near the bridge is underway in tribute to Ed Johnson (lynched on this bridge in 1906)…
This pedestrian bridge is beautiful to walk accross! Restaurants on both sides of the river.
A must for visitors. Pedestrian bridge. Stroll along it, enjoy the views, and think about how pretty our city is. Also, choose which side of the river to get ice cream and lunch on

“Great little coffee shop in the heart of Red Bank within walking distance from the home serving locally roasted coffee. They also serve breakfast and lunch... mainly sandwiches and salads. Check out their menu! This is CLOSED on Sunday because it is also a church :).”

“Great drinks and delicious late night bites! Laid back atmosphere with roll up doors that bring the outdoors in when weather permits. It is over 21 only after 5pm and not the best place for kids unless you’re there for brunch on Sunday dining outside. ”
