www.heroninnmalpas.co.uk 5 minute car journey. There is parking here but limited TIP; Park at Boscawen park and stroll to the Heron Inn, it only takes about 10 mins

Make sure to book, as busy but worth it. The food here, in a it opinion is some of the best pub food you'll taste in Cornwall. Beautiful location right next to the river in Malpas. beautiful views. parking is TIGHT, so if you can face it, we recommend parking down near Boscawen Park and walking up to the pub. On a pleasant day, it's a nice walk, which is manageable with small children.

When visiting Truro, take time out for a beautiful walk from Malpas to St. Clement with lunch or refreshments at the Heron Inn.

A beautiful pub with breath-taking views across the river estuary. The outside seating has recently been re-vamped so they now have patio heaters and blankets which means that you can enjoy the view all year round. The food is consistently good and the staff friendly. Definitely worth booking, and allow time to park as it is on road parking. If you feel like a walk (it is a flat walk by the river) you can park at Boscawen park where there is plenty of parking and walk to the Heron - it would take half an hour at a relaxed pace.
