Its pretty, just drive past the caravan park into the Blackwood mineral springs, cross the walk bridge and you can walk up the steps and enjoy the challenge - wear out the kids, catch the fresh air - take empty bottles to fill up on non chemical water and mineral water. There is a swimming hole for the kids, to cold for mums who are not brave.

Gorgeous river side springs picnic ground just past the caravan park, open the gate and give a gold coin donation and drive down to the car park. Lovely on hot days with shady areas and cool shallow flowing water to wade and sit in.

You can access the mineral spring and soda spring from the holiday park. Fill up your bottle with mineral water! It is possible to walk along the bush track from the cottage. It is a nice short walk along the old water race (from the miners days). You can return by walking along the road if you choose or continue on to other walking tracks.
