Frist Center for the Visual Arts
As one of Nashville's most prestigious art institutions, The Frist Center for the Visual Arts presents high-calibre exhibitions every six to eight weeks that feature artists from the region and around the world...
Enjoy world class exhibit in this beautiful Art Deco building - Nashville's former main post office.
Wonderful museum near downtown. If you're traveling with kids, there is a great kid friendly exhibit upstairs for kids to make their own art. In particular, the Frist always has lovely traveling exhibits. Right now, check out the Frieda Kahlo and Diego Rivera exhibit!
This amazing Museum has the best galleries in the state! They also have an amazingly fun kid's area!
“Nice grassy park with Nashville's very own Parthenon, definitely check it out to see the gleaming gold statue of the goddess Athena. ”
“Great view of downtown. Parklike area for a family picnic, and a great place to watch the New Year's and 4th of July Fireworks.”
“State of the Art building with tons of history and information on the city and country music. Many events and other happenings are here so check out their Facebook page for details. Exhibits change often so you can see what is featured. ”
“Not a baseball fanatic? No problem, get a general admission ticket (no seat) and enjoy cocktails and fancy hot dogs at the band box, play artsy putt-putt, test your fast pitch, or play corn hole and ping pong. ”
