While on a treasure hunt on the coast of Rum Cay, Bahamas, a hurricane nearly sank Bob’s 45ft sailboat, the “Kavu”. With the main sail gone and power dwindling, he made it back to George Town, Bahamas. To celebrate his defeat of near death, Bob partied for 3 days straight! That’s right, 3 days! When he awoke, blurry eyed, Bob stumbled next door to the bar for a Bloody Mary. Feeling more like himself again, Bob booked a ride on the Staniel Cay Express. After arriving in Staniel Cay, Bob caught a ride on a sea plane to Bimini. There, he met Captain Chuck Rohr and his all girl crew, becoming friends instantly. They set sail for Key West, making land fall 3 days later. Right after arriving, Bob took off straight for Margaritaville. Several rum drinks later, he ran into Frank and Steve, old friends from Gulf Shores. They convinced him to come back with them to “The other side of paradise”, on West Beach. While hanging out with Frank and Steve, an idea struck them! “We could build a little slice of Island living right here.” Thus, we bring you Bahama Bob’s, welcome! The Real Thing! Where you find the very best of everything you come to the beach for in one place. Always remember, the lower the latitude, the better the attitude!

Great little beach restaurant that we love! Everything is fried, except the salad so it's definitely a place to indulge. kids love just about everything on the menu. It's a great find on the beach side.

Located just over a mile to the east, Bahama bobs has some of the best seafood and friendly atmosphere.

Go early - for late lunch. The line extends outside by 4pm so dodging the lunch crowd and beating the dinner crowd is the key. Our fave = crab legs & a pina colada. Enjoy!!
