47,000-acre Atlantic coast recreation area. Featuring rocky beaches and granite peaks such as Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the United States’ East Coast. Among the wildlife are moose, bear, and whale.
Acadia National Park takes up almost 2/3 of Mount Desert Island where Bar Harbor is located. There are MANY entrances to the park including mountain tops, lakes, trails, and ocean access. You can get anywhere on the island is just over 20 minutes. There is so much to see and do, it will take weeks…
