Grocery store! When I am cooking and have forgotten an ingredient or I run out of milk late at night I can be at this grocery in 1 minute. If you go late or early there is always parking in front of the grocery store. They have sandwiches but they are not that great but their baguette is a must..…
I love this little grocery store. It's not cheap, but you can walk there with your reusable bags and feel like you're doing the right thing and still get pretty much anything you need to make a fresh, delicious meal. Good brands, fresh everything.
Great little neighborhood grocery. Excellent craft beer selection, lots of wine, cheese. Salads and Sandwiches from the deli are great!
I used to think that the local grocery store was a place you went to out of necessity only. Not any longer. Yes, this place has all the necessities (and without the upcharge you'd expect from a small retailer) but it also has the best deli sandwiches, fabulous assortment of kombucha, wine and coffee…
“A good alternative to Tastings if you think Tastings does not look convincing. Plenty of quality selections here.”

“Immaculately restored grand old theatre with top entertainers, from music, dance, comedy, Ted Talks, etc. Also some family movies at less cost. NY Opera is shown here as well as major UVA games. Spaces for private catered parties.”
“Busy, popular local scene restaurant bar with thousands of beers and wines to go or have there. Three meals a day using organic, local, healthy ingredients. Most popular are nachos, fish tacos on Saturday, everything from fresh sandwiches on house-made bread to healthy salmon, burgers and salads.”
“IX is a great spot for strolling in the day with a funky playground, restaurants and a coffee shop peppered throughout. They also host The Looking Glass, an immersive art installation that's "an otherworldly enchanted forest" created by 14 Charlottesville artists. Also, at night sometimes there's live music or DJ's and dancing in the lower industrial space. Worth checking out!”
“Every year we have Friday's After Five which is free and open to the public to enjoy live music, food trucks, and drinks from 5:30-8:30 from April to September! It's my favorite thing to do in C'ville!!”
