Beautiful botanic garden next to the museum and the park. Features include a japanese garden, cherry tree esplanade, rose garden, shakepeare garden, conservatory garden, lily ponds, native garden and a farming garden. Perfect place to get lost for hours.
This is one of our personal favorites. This botanical garden is good to visit during all seasons. In springtime you can enjoy the cherry blossom trees, in summer the expansive rose garden, and in fall the beautiful changing leaves. They have a whole indoor room just full of bonsai trees!

One of the best botanical garden I have visited. It has the ability to transport you through the desert, tropics, and even to Asia. It arrives on Fridays 8am until noon which is free.
A quick subway ride, the botanical gardens is a beautiful activity for couples, families, or solo travelers. Located right next to to the Brooklyn Museum as well as prospect park, there's plenty to do near it.
