Rhodes Old Medieval Town, Rhodes When you approach the walls of Medieval Old Town of Rhodes you are about to enter the oldest inhabited medieval city in Europe. It's a thrill to behold. Best to know one thing from the start about the Old Town of Rhodes: It's not laid out on a grid - not even close…

“Gennadi Beach, Rhodes Gennadi beach combines two different characters, and is basically a continuation of Kiotari. Sand and small pebbles as far as the eye can see - and the liveliest beach parties held anywhere on Rhodes. On the one hand there’s the vast beach where there’s always room for you and your friends to spread out your beach towels - only small parts of the beach are commercially organized - while on the other there are the Sunday parties with guests DJ's at the beach bars, which transform the character of the beach, attracting all the hip young people from around the island. The beach in Gennadi is separated from the village, which lies above the main road, but along the road you'll find tavernas, rooms to rent, small hotels and the villas of wealthy local people. The waters in Gennadi are crystal clear, and it is more than likely that you will find a spot where you can enjoy your bath in complete solitude.”

Administrative Area Level 5
“Kalithea (Kallithea) is the beach where many locals like to gather every day. The attraction is partly the sort distance from Rhodes town, partly the glamour of the magnificent Baths built here by the Italians (no longer in operation), as well as the obvious delights of mezedes and the tiny inlets and coves with their sculptured rocks and clear green water. Especially outside the high season, this is the favourite spot for local people looking for a quick swim. However, You should not confuse it with the minibeach below the Baths, which is full of visitors who come in little boats from Rhodes town to admire the amazing facilities of the Baths, currently under renovation. Once you have visited the Baths, drive on towards Faliraki and take the first dirt track to the left. Then, by following the signs guiding you to the various small eating holes in the area, you will reach a series of pine-covered bays and coves, with stone pools and rocks you can dive from (be careful: the sea is deep here, you need to be a good swimmer). This is the place the locals refer to when they say "let's go for a swim at Kalithea". Each of the little coves has sun beds for hire, and its own small restaurant, which usually lends its name to the beach itself.”

“Lindos Beach, Rhodes Lindos offers two different beaches actually, sharing the same bay. There are sunbeds and umbrellas everywhere, and the beaches are well occupied, but not necessarily crowded. Follow the sign for the lindos main beach and you will find yourself at the left-hand end, while if you go straight down below the Acropolis of Lindos, down Pallas str., you will find yourself at the right hand end on the lindos beach known as Pallas Beach. You will find sun beds and umbrellas everywhere, along with small classy tavernas offering delicious mezedes and fish plates. Yachts and small excursion boats find shelter in the well protected bay of the beach in lindos, adding to the atmosphere of the location, especially as dusk settles. Pallas Beach in Lindos is relatively quieter than the main beach. Also, the waters on both beaches are shallow and ideal for young children and toddlers. Canoes are available for rent here.”
