住吉公园为大阪最古老的公园，受到当地居民的喜爱。新年的首次参拜、春天樱花盛开的赏樱活动、夏天的住吉祭典（夏越的大祓神事）均在此进行，一整年都热闹非凡。此外，公园内还设有网球场和运动场，假日时总会吸人许多人潮。来到这里，不妨顺便前去参观一下俳句诗人松尾芭蕉的俳句碑、高灯笼（灯塔）以及源氏物语石碑等充满历史厚重感的石碑！ 地址：大阪府大阪市住之江区滨口东丁目1-13 参观费用：园内免费

The oldest park in Osaka, opened in the 6th year of the Meiji Era (1873). The park used to be a part of the premises of Sumiyoshi-taisha Shrine; it retains the riding ground of the shrine, and the Shiokake-michi that runs east and west through the center of the park was formerly the front approach to the shrine. The Takatoro that stands in the area facing Route 26 is said to be Japan's oldest lighthouse. 1 minutes walk from Hankai Line Sumiyoshitoriimae station. This station is 3 minutes ride from Hankai Line Abikomichi station which is 10 minutes walk from here.

住吉公園は、現在は市民公園で、花壇や池、遊戯施設、コートなどが並ぶ。しかし元は住吉大社の境内で、大社の馬場があった。公園の中央を東西に走る「潮掛け道」は、住吉大社の表参道だった。 国道26号に面した所に立つ高灯篭は、住吉大社の灯篭で、鎌倉時代創建の日本最古の灯台とされる。現在の高灯篭は1974年に場所を移して復元されたものであり、元は200メートルほど西方にあった。2005年（平成17年）に内部を改装し、史料館となっている。一般開放は毎月第1・第3日曜の10時～16時。 Sumiyoshi Park is an Osaka prefectural park in Hamaguchi-higashi Itchome, Suminoe-ku, Osaka, Japan. It was registered by Osaka Prefecture in 1873 with Hamadera Park in Nishi-ku, Sakai, and is the oldest park in Osaka.
