“People always ask, "where is the best place for seafood?" Well, the answer is complicated...the once pristine Salish Sea is not as healthy as it used to be (pollution is at hazardous levels) and overfishing has taken its toll. That "wild" salmon featured in restaurants and stores is probably from Alaska. Farmed shellfish however is happening at Buck Bay. Oysters are a favorite. Eat in or take home. ”
“Also visit Orcas WILD on North Beach Rd. They offer kayaking, whale watching and have a fabulous Salish Sea interpretive center.”
“Owners Shelbi and Aaron, great Irish flare, burgers, etc., mixed drinks and killer views. Family friendly.”
“Located behind the Tres Fabu Boutique on N. Beach Rd., The Kitchen serves fresh, local, organic Asian-inspired food in an outdoor setting.”
“The Ship Bay Restaurant, a few miles east of town, specializes in seasonal, locally-sourced cuisine. If you go east on Crescent Beach Drive and make a right on Olga Road, you'll be headed toward Moran State Park.”
