Just off the town square in Settle. Great traditional pub with great pub food, Good choice of ales and a beer garden .
If it's local atmosphere and good honest grub you are looking for then this is the place for you. There is something going on most nights from live music at the weekends to quiz night's on a Monday. There is a lovely garden at the rear to enjoy those late summer evenings.
The Talbot Arms, 25 minute walk – nice pub, my preference with a simple menu, good food.
Our favourite pub in the local area. The Talbot has good food and even better locally brewed beer! Very relaxed with an excellent team of knowledgeable young staff, this pub is always our port of call when walking one of the many Stainforth to Settle round routes. The Talbot has a beautiful beer…

“Best fish & chips in Settle - you can sit in the restaurant but in the summer we like to get takeway and drive up to one of the lay-bys above Langcliffe to enjoy the view.”
“Great modern cafe / bar with big views down the dale. Spacious and good for kids (toys, healthy kids menu, baby change) - you could walk here with a pram too. Food is all homemade and excellent. Try the seasonal afternoon tea. Best to book in summer / at weekends.”
