Playa de los Genoveses
Long and beautiful beach. Good for children. Nice for walking and resting. You can get there from San José village. Same road as Monsul beach, but closer to the village.
Shallow beach, perfect for kids, amazing nature. You can go there by car but please be there before 11:00 after that the gates closes and you need to walk..
One of the lovely sandy beaches. This is a good one for children, there is a lot of shallow swimming space. Close to San Jose for ice creams and tapas.
“Very beautiful beach, volcanic, nice for snorkeling, isolated inside the park. You must go from San José village, then take a sandy road (good quality) and drive 15min until you reach the beach. Very crowdy on weekends, get there early. ”
“One of the best beaches in Spain, and also in Europe! With a 5 stars rating and into the blue flag category, this is an amazing beach. I recommend you to get there early in the morning, as entrance is controlled.”
“Playa mas cercana a la casa. Es una playa muy buena para pasar el día por su zona de arena y la zonas rocosas que permiten hacer snorkel. La zona rocosa junto al castillo es preciosa.”
“Good for rainny days (you can go shopping there, everything is under roof). Zara, Mango, Stradivarius, Cortefiel, C&A, H&M, etc.”
Point of Interest
“I like outdoor activities so visiting the Conjunto Monumental de La Alcazaba is one of my favorite things to do in Almería. You can visit this fortress for free. I recommend doing a tour with one of the guides who’ll bring the essence of this Moorish fortress to life. Be prepared to climb to get to the fortress, I promise it will be worth it as the views are amazing! ”
