“This is a sweet place to explore for young and old. This mine offers a great- hands on experience sorting through gems and discovering precious stones. Great fun for all ages. ”
“Located in Pisgah Forest (close to Sliding Rock - do both the same day). Beautiful waterfall. You can park on the side of the road and see it or take the stairs down to the bottom.”
“Beautiful and easy hike to waterfalls. About an hour drive to trailhead. Very quaint town of Flat Rock and Carl Sandburg home very close by.”
“This is THE natural waterslide. No matter how you make your way down the natural slide, you will have a smooth slide. With lifegaurds at the top and bottom of the slide, and a concert path with handrails to the top, you can gaurentee a safe and thrilling experience. ”
“This is a favorite, moderately-difficult day hike with a killer payoff. This 5-ish mile out-and-back takes you to the top of looking-glass rock. It's probably a bit much for younger kids. Going during the week or earlier in the morning will help avoid the crowds and get your doggo some time off-leash.”
