Al Volo Osteria is a hidden gem in the heart of Adam's Morgan that specializes in homemade pastas and sauces that will transport you to the restaurants of Central and Southern Italy. Come to enjoy delicious Italian food and wine that will leave a lasting impression in a cozy, non- pretentious atmosphere. Our favorite pasta in the District. Great neighborhood spot in Adams Morgan with attentive service and delicious food (go-tos are the a la vodka with chicken and the boar ragu, which is usually on special).
Hands down, my absolute favorite Italian restaurant outside of Italy itself. They make the pasta right there in-house. Everything is phenomenal. Their burrata is fresh, as is every other ingredient they use. This place is highly recommended. You will feel like you are having an authentic Italian…
“Dessert, cafe, bakery, etc. The most exciting dessert shop in the Greater DC Area. Must try~~!!”
“Excellent Afghan food and cocktails in one of the most beautiful restaurant spaces in town. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. They have a small patio and a nice weekend brunch. Try the aushak (leek dumplings topped with veggies or beef, split peas, and garlic yogurt)! They also have a separate-entrance basement coffee, lunch and cocktail shop, Lapop, open Wednesday-Sunday.”
“Dog park, perfect soccer field, parents with strollers and kids on the playground!”
“Slices of pizza the size of your head. They're cheap, tasty, and the perfect way to soak up drinks at the end of the night. I think they only take cash.”
“The Line hotel has several restaurants, all of which are great, but it's worth going in just to check the place out. An old church turned into a hotel, the architecture is spectacular. The downstairs restaurant is less expensive and more casual, upstairs at A Rake's Progress it's pretty pricey but really delicious.”
