Santaella, the much-anticipated restaurant from renowned chef José Santaella, debuted June 2011 in Santurce within ‘La Placita’ area. Chef Santaella transforms what used to be his catering workshop into an architectural acclaimed space committed to offer a menu full of flavor.
At the lusciously chic Santaella, tropical is the name of the game, with the space’s verdant hues and reclaimed wood all centered around a tropical interior garden.

The food here is amazing: local fare with a gourmet flair! Servers are well versed in the menu and are able to explain it in a way that makes your mouth water. And their bar offers many unusual but awesome drinks. It is on the expensive side and reservations are recommended, as it is always packed.
